Filter Cartridge

Membrane filter cartridges

Membrane filter cartridges are used when you need controlled and reproducible retention of fine particles and microorganisms. They are typically applied for final filtration or as a critical step where product quality and process stability depend on consistent performance.

Selection starts with the membrane material (e.g. PES, PVDF, PTFE, nylon), pore size and the required retention definition (nominal vs. absolute). Operating parameters such as temperature, viscosity and differential pressure help determine the most technically suitable configuration.

Chemical compatibility and cartridge construction (end caps, core, seals) are equally important, especially for CIP/SIP or solvent exposure. If you share your process fluid and target rating, we can advise a technically grounded option and support availability from stock.

Depth filter cartridges

Depth filter cartridges are designed for reliable particle reduction by capturing contaminants throughout the filter matrix, not only on the surface. This makes them well-suited for fluids with higher solids loading or where longer service life is required.

Selection depends on the media type (e.g. melt-blown, wound, resin bonded), micron rating and the balance between retention and pressure drop at your operating flow. For stable performance, it is important to match the cartridge construction and chemical compatibility to the process conditions.

If you share the target cleanliness level, flow and differential pressure limits, we can advise a technically grounded option and supply directly from stock where available.

Pleated filter cartridges

Pleated filter cartridges are used when a high filtration area is needed in a compact format, helping achieve low pressure drop together with good dirt-holding capacity and consistent particle retention. They are widely applied in water treatment, process liquids, chemicals, food and beverage, and many industrial filtration systems.

Our pleated filter range includes polypropylene pleated filters, glass fibre pleated cartridges, metallic pleated cartridges such as SS316L, pool pleated filter cartridges, and anti-microbial pleated filter cartridges. Selection depends on the application, required micron rating, chemical compatibility, operating temperature, and the desired service life.

Cartridge construction, media type, end cap style, seals, and pressure resistance should all be considered to ensure the filter performs reliably in your system. If you share your process fluid, operating conditions, and target retention, we can help identify a technically suitable pleated cartridge option and advise on stock availability.

Carbon filter cartridges

Carbon filter cartridges are typically selected when the objective is adsorption rather than particle retention. They are used to reduce chlorine, taste and odour compounds, and dissolved organic contaminants that can affect product quality or downstream process performance.

Performance depends on carbon type (e.g. activated carbon block or granular carbon), contact time (flow rate vs. cartridge size) and the specific contaminant profile. In practice, a stable result requires the right balance between adsorption capacity and allowable pressure drop.

If you share your application (water, solvents, process liquids) and target reduction, we can advise a technically grounded configuration and support quick delivery from stock where available.

High flow filter cartridges

High flow filter cartridges are developed for applications where large flow rates must be handled efficiently with a limited number of filter elements. By combining a large diameter with an optimised internal structure, these cartridges reduce housing size, change-out frequency and operating costs.

Depending on the design, high flow cartridges can be based on pleated media or depth filtration principles. Selection therefore depends on the required retention level, contaminant load, flow rate and allowable pressure drop across the system.

Typical applications include pre-filtration for RO systems, cooling water, process water and other industrial fluids where uptime and predictable performance are essential.

Metallic filter cartridges

Metallic filter cartridges are selected for applications where polymer-based filters are not suitable. Their robust construction allows operation at high temperatures, elevated differential pressures and under aggressive chemical or mechanical conditions.

These cartridges are commonly manufactured from sintered stainless steel or woven metal media and provide stable filtration performance combined with long service life. Depending on the design, they can be cleaned and reused, supporting both process reliability and operational continuity.

Metallic filter cartridges are often applied as part of a broader metallic filtration solution. When combined with compatible metallic housings and cleaning procedures, they form a durable system for demanding industrial processes.

Water treatment filter cartridges

Water treatment filter cartridges are used in applications where raw water quality must be stabilised or improved before further use. They support the reduction of suspended solids and specific contaminants to protect downstream processes and ensure reliable system operation.

Depending on the application, water treatment cartridges can be based on different filtration principles, including granular media, depth filtration or adsorption. Selection is guided by feed water quality, flow rate, contact time and allowable pressure drop.

These cartridges are commonly applied as pre-filtration for membrane systems such as reverse osmosis, or as a stand-alone treatment step in utility and process water systems. We support selection based on water analysis and system design.

Reverse osmosis (RO) cartridges

Reverse osmosis cartridges are used in membrane-based water treatment systems to reduce dissolved salts and low-molecular contaminants. RO is typically applied when a consistent permeate quality is required, for example in process water preparation, rinse water or utility water production.

Selection is driven by feed water quality, required permeate flow, salt rejection and system conditions such as pressure and temperature. Stable operation also depends on effective pre-treatment to control fouling and scaling, which helps protect membrane performance over time.

If you share your current system details (feed water, target conductivity, recovery and operating pressure), we can support a technically grounded selection and help align RO elements with suitable pre-filtration.
