Product description

X100C cartridge filter housing for industrial liquid filtration

The X100C filter cartridge housing is a plastic cartridge housing designed for industrial liquid filtration applications where chemical resistance, ease of maintenance and operational flexibility are required. The housing is intended for use with a single high capacity filter cartridge and is suitable for a wide range of industrial process fluids.

This housing is selected when a compact and cost effective cartridge filtration solution is required without the need for pressure vessel certification.

Filtration principle

The X100C housing is designed for top loaded cartridge filtration. Process liquid enters the housing, flows through the filter cartridge from outside to inside, and exits through the outlet connection.

The cartridge sealing system ensures a secure fit and minimizes the risk of bypass. This allows predictable filtration performance and consistent contaminant removal during operation.

Filter element replacement can be carried out without disassembling the sump, which significantly reduces maintenance time.

Convertible housing concept

The X100C is part of a convertible housing design. While this version is configured for cartridge filtration, the housing can be adapted to other filtration formats by using dedicated internal components.

This flexibility allows the same housing platform to be used across different filtration requirements, simplifying spare parts management and system design.

Materials of construction

The housing body is manufactured from polypropylene with integrated reinforcement, providing:

  • good chemical resistance

  • low weight

  • corrosion free operation

  • suitability for indoor and outdoor installation

Sealing materials can be selected to match the process fluid and operating conditions.

Design and construction

Key design features of the X100C filter cartridge housing include:

  • top loaded cartridge design

  • threaded lid with integrated sealing

  • smooth internal surfaces for easy cleaning

  • integrated cartridge support plate

  • compact footprint for easy installation

The housing is designed for tool free opening and closing, allowing fast and simple cartridge replacement.

Operating conditions

Typical operating characteristics include:

  • operating pressure up to approximately 6 bar depending on temperature

  • operating temperatures aligned with polypropylene material limits

  • flow rates suitable for single cartridge industrial filtration

Exact limits depend on fluid properties, cartridge selection and operating temperature and should be confirmed during system design.

Key benefits

  • Simple cartridge filter housing design

  • Lightweight and corrosion resistant construction

  • Easy cartridge replacement without sump disassembly

  • Convertible housing platform

  • Suitable for a wide range of industrial liquids

  • Cost effective filtration solution

Typical applications

The X100C filter cartridge housing is commonly used in:

  • water and wastewater treatment

  • chemical processing

  • surface treatment and galvanic processes

  • pre filtration for membrane systems

  • general industrial liquid filtration

Configuration and quotation

The X100C filter cartridge housing is supplied as a configurable product. Parameters that can be defined include:

  • cartridge type and micron rating

  • sealing material

  • connection type and size

  • mounting and accessory options

This ensures compatibility with the intended process conditions.

Technical support and validation

Selecting the correct filtration solution often requires verification under real process conditions. Filtra International supports this process through several practical testing and validation options.

Filter samples – available for compatibility and performance checks in existing filter housings.
Full-scale filter housing rental – for temporary installations or process evaluation.
Laboratory and pilot-scale filtration units – enabling controlled testing before full implementation.
Application testing by our team – customers may send product samples for filtration trials and performance evaluation.

These options allow process validation before committing to a permanent installation.
