Compact filters – high-efficiency air filtration where air quality is critical

Compact filters are high-efficiency air filters designed for ventilation and air conditioning systems where air quality is critical. They effectively remove fine airborne contaminants such as smoke, vapours, pollen, bacteria and other microscopic particles.

Compact filters are used wherever a high level of air purity is required, both in comfort ventilation and in industrial or technical environments. Depending on system design, they can function as high-performance filters in ventilation systems or as final filters in applications with elevated air cleanliness requirements.

Filtration performance

Compact filters are capable of capturing particles several hundred times smaller than the width of a human hair. This makes them suitable for environments where reliable fine particle control and consistent air quality are essential.

They are available in filtration classes E10, E11, E12 and H11, allowing accurate selection based on air quality requirements and system performance.

Filter media and construction

Compact filters are based on a minipleat glass fibre filter medium. This construction provides a very large effective filtration surface within a compact housing.

The pleated glass fibre structure ensures:

  • high filtration efficiency

  • long service life

  • stable airflow characteristics

  • consistent performance under varying operating conditions

The robust design allows compact filters to withstand intensive airflow and demanding operating conditions without loss of performance.

Available construction variants

Compact filters are available in three construction variants to suit different installation and handling requirements.

Standard compact filter
Compact minipleat filter without additional accessories, suitable for general high-efficiency air filtration.

Compact minipleat filter with flange
Equipped with an integrated mounting flange to improve sealing and ensure reliable, leak-free installation.

Compact filter with protective grid
Fitted with a protective metal grid to increase mechanical strength and protect the filter media during operation and handling.

Typical applications

Compact filters are widely used in environments where strict air quality control is required, including:

  • Pharmaceutical production

  • Food processing facilities

  • Chemical industry

  • Laboratories

  • Hospitals and healthcare facilities

  • Industrial plants with sensitive processes

Custom dimensions – manufactured to order

Compact filters are manufactured to order and can be supplied in virtually any required dimension.

Filters are produced according to the specified length, width and height, allowing precise integration into existing installations as well as new system designs.

Manufacturing origin & quality

Compact filters supplied by Filtra International are manufactured in Europe. European production ensures consistent quality, controlled manufacturing standards and reliable delivery.

Product configuration & quotation

Compact filters are supplied on a quotation basis. This allows configuration of:

  • construction type

  • filtration class

  • exact dimensions

  • required quantity

This ensures the filter solution fully matches the technical requirements of each application.

Technical support and validation

Selecting the correct filtration solution often requires verification under real process conditions. Filtra International supports this process through several practical testing and validation options.

Filter samples – available for compatibility and performance checks in existing filter housings.
Full-scale filter housing rental – for temporary installations or process evaluation.
Laboratory and pilot-scale filtration units – enabling controlled testing before full implementation.
Application testing by our team – customers may send product samples for filtration trials and performance evaluation.

These options allow process validation before committing to a permanent installation.
