Product description
Seamless absolute rated filtration with BOS, BOS MAX and BOS G
The BOS filter bag range is designed for liquid filtration applications where absolute particle retention, consistent quality and reliable bypass protection are required. Unlike conventional sewn filter bags, BOS products are manufactured with seamless microfiber technology, helping prevent channeling, unloading and leakage paths that can occur under pulsating flow or pressure changes.
This product family includes three options so you can match performance to your process:
-
BOS for precise absolute rated filtration in high purity and critical applications
-
BOS MAX for extended service life and significantly higher dirt holding capacity
-
BOS G (Gradient) for true gradient density performance with strong oil adsorption and long life in broad particle distribution duties
Filtration principle
All BOS products use absolute depth filtration based on a graded pore microfiber structure. Liquid passes through progressively finer pores within the filter media, allowing particles to be retained with very high efficiency.
Key filtration benefits include:
-
absolute rated particle retention
-
consistent filtration quality
-
stable differential pressure behaviour
-
reduced risk of bypass compared with sewn bags
Seamless construction
BOS products are manufactured without sewn seams. Thermally bonded polypropylene microfibers form a continuous structure with high tensile strength.
This seamless design:
-
eliminates leakage paths associated with needle holes
-
improves resistance to channeling and unloading
-
reduces bypass risk under pulsating flow conditions
Choosing between BOS, BOS MAX and BOS G
BOS
BOS is designed for applications where precise particle retention and consistent filtration quality are required. The seamless design supports reliable absolute filtration, particularly in high purity or polishing duties.
BOS MAX
BOS MAX adds a semi rigid microfiber insert inside a layered graded pore structure. This increases filtration depth and dirt holding capacity, resulting in longer service life, fewer changeouts and reduced downtime downtime. BOS MAX is often selected when service intervals must be extended without sacrificing filtration efficiency.
BOS G (Gradient)
BOS G is a seamless gradient density filter element designed to provide the depth performance of a cartridge with the installation convenience of a bag. It offers very high life potential in broad particle distribution applications and adsorbs hydrocarbons such as oils. This can reduce the need for separate oil specific filter bags in many applications.
Standard sizes
This product family is supplied in standard industrial bag formats:
-
Size 1: approximately 7 inch diameter x 16 inch length
-
Size 2: approximately 7 inch diameter x 32 inch length
Note: BOS G Gradient elements are typically supplied in Size 2.
Operating limits and changeout guidance
Typical operating limits depend on the selected variant and process conditions. In practice, filter changeout is commonly managed using differential pressure targets. If you want, Filtra International can advise the recommended changeout strategy based on your flow, contamination load and process stability.
Material compatibility and hygiene
BOS products are manufactured using 100 percent polypropylene microfiber materials. The thermally bonded construction contains no resins, lubricants, silicones or bonding adhesives.
Selected variants are suitable for applications where product cleanliness is important, including food, beverage and water related processes.
