The VL220 EC-W is a mobile evaporative air cooler designed for commercial and professional spaces up to approximately 250 m². With a maximum airflow of 22,000 m³/h, it provides high-volume air movement for larger occupied spaces, workshops, warehouses and other ventilated work areas.
The 2027 EC-W configuration combines evaporative cooling with an EC motor, continuously adjustable airflow, integrated UV water treatment, automatic swing and Wi-Fi connectivity for remote operation and monitoring.

Operating principle
The VL220 EC-W uses evaporative, also known as adiabatic, cooling. Warm ambient air is drawn through a water-wetted evaporative medium. As part of the water evaporates, heat is absorbed from the incoming air and its temperature is reduced before the cooled air is discharged into the workspace.
The process does not require a conventional refrigerant circuit or compressor-based refrigeration system. Because evaporative cooling increases the moisture content of the treated air, sufficient air renewal is important.
Doors, windows, ventilation openings or mechanical extraction should allow humidified air to leave the building while fresh air enters. Actual performance depends on ambient temperature, relative humidity, ventilation, internal heat load and cooler positioning.

No selectable material variants are specified for the VL220 EC-W. The unit is supplied as a complete mobile evaporative cooling system.
Available micron ratings
Not applicable to this model. The VL220 EC-W does not include the dedicated Pureflow G4 air pre-filtration system used on the corresponding industrial cooler configuration.
Where cooling and coarse incoming-air pre-filtration are both required, the industrial KM22 EC-W configuration should be considered.
