Oil absorbing filter bag for liquid filtration and oil removal

The Oil Absorption Filter Bag is designed for liquid filtration applications where free and emulsified oils must be removed from process fluids. The filter bag combines oil adsorption with optional particle filtration, allowing simultaneous removal of oil contamination and solid particles.

This filter bag is commonly used in industrial processes where oil carryover negatively affects product quality, downstream equipment or discharge water quality.


Filtration and adsorption principle

The Oil Absorption Filter Bag is manufactured from multiple layers of ultra fine polypropylene microfiber media. The structure provides a very large active surface area, allowing oil molecules to be adsorbed within the filter media while liquid passes through.

Depending on the selected variant, the filter bag can also provide particle retention as part of the filtration process.

This combined mechanism provides:

Design and construction

The filter bag is manufactured from virgin polypropylene microfiber using melt blown production technology. The multi layer depth structure supports both adsorption and filtration without the use of chemical binders or additives.

Material compatibility

The polypropylene microfiber construction provides excellent chemical compatibility with a wide range of industrial liquids. The filter media contains no silicone, resins, lubricants or bonding adhesives.
